The Private Clinic |
||
| The Private Clinic has been established for more than twenty-five years with our main Clinic in the world famous Harley Street London.
The Harley Street development began in 1729 by Edward Harley the second Earl of Oxford and Mortimer. The first residents arrived in 1752 and it was not until 1775 that interest in the medical field was created with the arrival of the first Doctors. Its dignified Georgian style soon attracted a wide variety of successful and eminent Doctors. The renowned Florence Nightingale worked as a nurse at number 90 Harley Street before going to the Crimean war. By 1940 there were seven hundred and ninety eight Doctors practising in Harley Street and now there are over three times that number. While specialist consultants continue to retain their roots in the great centres of collaborative and Multidisciplinary research, Harley Street will maintain and even embellish its well-earned reputation. |
