Chalet Sisu is located right alongside Sixt's ski pistes. From the chalet you can ski direct to the Feulatiere lift which is at the foot of the main nursery area, or to the Vagnys chair lift which provides access to Sixt's main runs.
The Sixt ski and snowboard area comprises green, blue, red and black runs, and the extensive nursery area is just 50 metres from the chalet. So the area is ideal for family skiing and for mixed ability groups. Queues are practically non existent and lift passes are modestly priced more info
For experienced skiers the Grand Massif Express lift gives fast access to the whole Grand Massif ski area (165 runs). This lift is 8 minutes drive away, or alternatively take the ski bus which departs from a stop 100 metres from the chalet.
In good conditions, a superb end to a days skiing in the Grand Massif is the fabulous descent from the top of the Grand Platieres direct to Sixt using the Piste des Cascades, a descent of 14km through remote and spectacular scenery, which permits a return on skis all the way to the chalet. Ski and boot hire is available within walking distance of the chalet.
